Thank you for your interest in our
'99 Cruise! These periodic
updates will be sent to those who have requested information
about the cruise or those already booked. I hope
you enjoy them
whether you decide to book a stateroom or not.
I’ve never found
a more relaxing and enjoyable vacation than a seven day
cruise,
even though I keep trying.
This year's cruise is on The Enchantment
of the Seas, a one
year old ship from Royal Caribbean, International.
We'll be leaving
Miami on Sunday, January 24, 1999 and visiting St. Thomas,
St.
Maarten, and RCL's private island in the Bahamas (Cococay)
before
returning to Miami on January 31.
This year I will keep a web site with
all the information and post
these updates there as well. Due to strong interest
when I announced
this year's cruise at the National Convention July 4th,
I've arranged
for 24 staterooms for our group. The first eight
are now spoken for.
Ten inside staterooms and six outside staterooms are
still available
at our great group rates.
There will be an announcement in the
August LP News and I
expect our group will fill by mid August. If additional
rooms are
available later they will be at higher rates (brochure
rates are 55%
higher), so move quickly to put down a deposit if you
are likely to
join us. Cancellation with full refund of deposit
is available till
November 25th and I'll be keeping a waiting list to fill
cancellations
in the order your deposits are received.
As you will see if you visit the "Libertarian Cruise" web site at:
https://members.tripod.com/~kbisson
Harry and Pamela Browne were the first to join Ellen and
myself
in booking a stateroom. We hope you and any of
your cruising
friends can join Brownes and us for this special occasion.
As a first
step for those interested (after learning all the
info at the web site) I would suggest picking up a Royal
Caribbean
brochure at your local travel agency titled, "Caribbean
and Bahamas
1997-1999". It tells all about their ships
and the itineraries.
The descriptions
of our voyage as well as all the general
details of cruising are carefully written for the novice.
There
are features such as extra baggage insurance, cancellation
insurance, air add-on prices, and pre- and post-cruise
extra
vacations listed. If you don’t have a travel agency
close by,
I can arrange to have a copy mailed to you. Just
let me know
if you need that.
I’ll discuss
most of those options in future updates, but the
brochure really does a great job of explaining everything.
I also
like having the brochure around as the cold winter months
come
along. Part of the fun of cruising is the anticipation!
In preparing
to invite all of you to join us on this cruise, I
asked the agent we used last year, Brooke Parker, if
she could
accommodate this year's group. She did a very nice
job for us last
year and agreed to assist us again, getting us a 10%
better group rate!
Brooke’s agency is:
Travelmaster Inc.
120 N. Wayne Street
Angola, IN 46703
1-800-662-8010
(219) 665-1166 fax
That’s it for
this first update. Please e-mail me with your
questions and I’ll share answers to the most frequently
asked
questions in each update.
Best Wishes,
Ken
P.S. Please share this invitation
with your friends. I'll be happy
to include them on the update list.
